6 grandkids. One great grandson turns now 5. Son is retired from the Navy submarine service, and recent graduate of Illinois State University; daughter is a grade school teacher in Aurora. Oldest grandson is an assistant general manager at McDonalds in the Chicago area and oldest granddaughter is an EMT in a Pacific Ocean community in Washington state.

Current President of the Kiwanis Club of Aurora. Club has been here since 1916. 85 members strong and busy as ever in the community.

School Story

Graduated from Kansas State Teachers College with a BSE and MS in Education.
First job at Southeast Missouri State University in 1971 as head resident of Greek Housing and eventually co Coordinator of Financial Aid.

Went to Missouri State University as Assistant Director of Financial Aid in 1974.

Worked in various insurance and retirement community jobs and with the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology from 1981 to 1988 in Springfield Missouri.

In 1989 we moved to Aurora as I joined the US Department of Education and worked in financial oversight of banks, state agencies, and service companies for the Federal loan programs, finishing my career with the default management operations 2015.

Charlie was s at Emporia State in theater and then 'disappeared'. He did get me interested in theater behind the stage. I still go to many presentations and watch the sets and lights as much as the actors. We heard he went to Arizona but that was about it.

There were a bunch of us in that Westbrook subdivision. Dean was really quiet, always nice, and a good halfback. We were all overshadowed by Roy McDonald and Mike Mahaney.

1963 season we had used football jerseys from the Chiefs for practice. I had #32, Curtis McClinton.
