Elizabeth Anne Gruver Russell

Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Russell, 57, passed away August 12, 2006 at her home in Shawnee, Ks. Beth was born on December 8, 1948 in Fort Scott, Ks. A memorial service will be held at Charter Funerals Chapel, 10250 Shawnee Mission Parkway on Wed., August 16, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the St. Luke's Home Care & Hospice or the Cancer Action Center. Beth was the daughter of Charles Gruver and Doris Hillman Camp. She is survived by three sons: Bobby Russell, Mission Ks., Jason Russell and Danny Russell both of Shawnee, Ks.; a daughter-in-law, Tammy Russell; her stepfather, Floyd Camp, Easton Ks.; two sisters: Jean Russell, Fort Scott Ks. and Cheryl Thrasher, Easton, Ks.; one brother, Charles Gruver, Cummings Ks.; one step-sister, Ruth Ellsworth, Cherryvale Ks.; two step-brothers, Dewayne Camp, Independence, Mo. and David Camp, Fort Scott, Ks. She was a loving grandmother to Brianna, Benjamin, Brady and Justin Russell. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, who will miss her dearly and whose lives she has enriched. She was retired from the Department of Agriculture and for the past 7 years was Jack Shockey's beloved nanny. Beth was a member of the Shawnee United Methodist Church. She loved camping, boating and singing karaoke. Beth was preceded in death by her parents and two step-brothers, Dale and Melvin Camp.
