HAAS Grover Michael Haas ("Mike"), 64, died July 8, 2013, in Ingleside, Texas after a long illness. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Overland Park. Mike is survived by his mother, Mateel ("Teel") Haas, Overland Park; his son, Dr. Michael E. Haas, M.D. of O' Fallon, MO; his sisters: Teel D. Haas, Madison, WI; Carla (Alan) Adams, New Brighton, PA; and Janet (Kelvin) Shivers, Kansas City, MO; his former wife, Charlene Haas, Overland Park, and aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nephews and a great niece. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward C. Haas, Jr. Mike grew up in the metro Kansas City area and graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1966. After high school Mike became a land surveyor. He moved with his family to Texas in 1979 and considered Ingleside, Texas his home. Through hard work and dedication, he became one of only a few people to be a Licensed State Land Surveyor and a Registered Public Surveyor in the State of Texas. He owned and operated Haas Surveying in Ingleside, Texas, until the time of his death. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Driscoll Children's Hospital, 3533 South Alameda, Corpus Christi, Texas 78411.
